Type: Ellipsoidal, dished, hemispherical, spherical cap, or conical; selected according to design drawings.
Ordering Dimensions: Inner/outer diameter, nominal thickness, minimum post-forming thickness, straight flange height, total depth, and weld edge preparation (bevel).
Material: Stainless steel grade, plate standard, heat treatment condition, and intergranular corrosion requirements must be specified.
Inspection: Visual appearance, geometric dimensions, thickness, non-destructive testing (NDT), and quality documentation shall comply with vessel design specifications and the purchase order; pressure vessel heads are not subject to pipe fitting pressure class ratings.
Ordering/Acceptance: Based on approved drawings; verify head type, reference diameter, nominal/minimum post-forming thickness, straight flange, bevel, material, heat treatment, and NDT; check quality certificates and geometric deviations.
